The teachers and the students are very close, and the staff members were always kind to me. I was really able to enjoy my time abroad. Having such small classes (my class was just 7 people) was very helpful in improving my speaking skills. Also, I did lots of activities in the school and I had the opportunity to meet other foreign students from different levels, so I made friends quite quickly. The level check test before class starts determines the level you're placed in, but it is not a comprehensive evaluation and they are quite flexible about adjusting as needed. You get divided up according to your level into the Listing / Speaking and Writing / Reading classes. Your teacher and classmates change depending on the level, so I think it's quite a good system. In the Speaking class, I was nervous at the beginning because I had to speak, but I could understand the lessons and now I'm much more confident speaking English. There were a lot of foreign students who wanted to study English seriously, so I could always find someone after school to go to the cafe and study and cook and eat together. I had a good time outside the school and on weekends too. I was anxious about going to a city I did not know at all, but I think it was a good decision to choose San Diego because it is very safe, people are friendly, and there are not many Japanese people.

I studied here for about 6 months and I had a very good time. It is a small school so everyone is like family. I hang out with teachers and staff after school and they have many fun activities. I lived in Vantaggio student building and it is very close to Q School and i really like Little Italy. I miss everyone there :)
