Program in American Language Studies (PALS/ESL) Rutgers-Newark

Program in American Language Studies (PALS) students work towards achieving basic communication skills and academic language proficiency in a communicative setting. PALS runs five sessions annually, each lasting seven weeks. We offer 8 levels of instruction with courses in intensive English, English for Academic Purposes, and TOEFL preparation. PALS is also an IELTS testing center with 2 tests per month.
