Good English course with very good facilities. They give you a test on arrival to put you you in the course level that suits you. One of the problems lies with the people who do not want to accept their true level of English. I say this because there was a French guy who did not accept that he had an upper intermediate level and not an advanced level and he was obnoxious the whole time. I think if you have a strong character and will not accept the level you are tested at, you'd better stay home. They are very clear about the testing, and if they see that your level is a bit low, they won't put you in the advanced class. The course is very structured although the teachers are constantly asking if you want to work more on a particular topic or particular point. The price is very good and the facilities are amazing. The city is medium-sized but it is in the center of the region and has a good atmosphere. The Scots are friendly and very open. I recommend both the course and a stay of one or two periods.

Hello, I studied at Perth College between January and March 2016. The College experience has not been positive. I'll explain why I say this. The English teachers are quite mediocre, I have had 4 teachers, and 2 were acceptable, the other two were very poor. The course I look was very much focused on examinations and also the teachers asked the students what they wanted to do in the classroom, which of course is very democratic but impractical for the pace of a class. There are a total of 6 levels, the two most advanced levels are 1 and 2 which are supposedly the Cambridge advanced and the first Certificate respectively, which according to my tutor are more or less the same level. It seems that last year nobody managed to pass the CAE (Cambridge Advanced Exam), which does not surprise me at all. I did not like anything about this school and I would say that to anyone who intends to go to learn English at Perth College. I attended some classes at the University and the truth is that the level seemed low there as well, however teachers (University) seemed very attentive. If you want, the College can find you a Host Family (a rental with a British family). In my case the place was cold, dirty and the mattress was in bad shape. Many people like to study in Scotland because they provide many facilities, and of course that is very good. If you have a minimum stay and some other things you can receive a scholarship of £ 90 a week, you don't pay state taxes and the classes are free. All this is fine, but if you want to learn English it is not the best place I think, especially if you have to pay for your classes yourself. In my case I payed for my course because it was 3 months and I thought it was of poor quality.
