At Embassy Ces I attended General English and Business English. I really enjoyed the school, my mates, my teaches. The school has a good atmosphere. There is a supermarket in the same building and also a gym. I enjoyed the classes, mainly business english. The library is a comfortable place and and there are computers with internet in shared rooms and wifi everywhere. I loved spending one month in Sydney that is such a beautiful city! I would like to come back to Australia and I'd choose this school to study again if I could. G' day, mates! Liya Alves

The reason I chose Embassy Sydney was the good facilities and the international nature of the student body. Cost is high compared with other schools, but there was not a big difference for me because I attended one year. The teachers' skills in class are highly satisfactory. I learned a lot. Somes students will focus on social activities. They enjoy sports and don't care much about their English ability. These were the students in my Elementary class (bottom). These students complain about too much homework, even when learning basic things you cannot do without. The Elementary lessons are about 60% students like this. But I think you have to study hard. After 10 months at this school, I was in the Advanced class (top) and stayed there for 2 months. The advanced class was very hard, but the teacher was supportive and helped me especially because I was there 1 year. I think it was an extremely valuable experience. A previous reviewer said that the contents of his elective classes were not good, and I agree there was some playing around in electives, but what you do with your time is up to you. I used this time to study, and some other students did that too. You can use your elective time to practice speaking, and that is very useful. Also, since there are a lot of different elective classes, you can change classes if you ask. The more advanced elective classes are more serious. The elective writing class especially with the teachers who are teaching the IELTS class was very difficult and high level. You can only join these classes if you are able to follow the lesson, and most Japanese students do not have enough English to do so. You must challenge yourself, going to the library after school (the teachers are often there to help you) and also adapting to the new culture which is not like Japan. Little by little you can understand what people say. My writing and reading skills I think grew dramatically thanks to this elective class. My advanced teacher was really exceptional. All you need to do to prove this to yourself is to look at me one year ago and then look at me now. What I really want to say is that what you get out of Embassy English and what you learn is up to you. Sometimes you have to self-study and go to the library, but that doesn't replace going to school. People who say that talking with friends or the boyfriend of a flat mate is studying are making a big mistake. It is best to go to school. People give up because they are frustrated or lazy, but determined people do not give up and they can grow their English. Without a teacher, who will correct your writing, who will see the grammar mistakes, who will help you correct your pronunciation and word use? Your experience talking to foreign friends will not do these things. You just make the same mistakes always and nobody will correct you. Your British flat mate does not even have to care. At school the teacher will point out improvements on the spot. Don't believe that I speak perfect English, because I do not, but I have to say Japanese pronunciation and speaking in English needs lots of improvement and you cannot do it without a teacher's help. Anyway, it is up to you to decide. The teachers at Embassy Sydney are very empathetic and they have good skills . I recommend it.
